Projects

Access to clean water is one of the biggest problems we face as a global community. 3.75 million people die every year from lack of access to clean water. Us. International is making a push, with our partner non-profit Drop in the Bucket, to provide a part of a solution. Our mission is to provide wells and water to areas where clean water is currently difficult to come by.

Us. International funds socially sustainable well projects in rural Ugandan schools through our partner non-profit. These well projects encourage education by both girls and boys, promoting gender equality and creating brighter futures. Children that come to fetch the water stay for an education. The communities are involved in their implantation and continued operation. The dynamic approach taken by Drop in the Bucket makes our wells incredibly affective.

And while we are about providing water and sanitation, the benefits of this solution are far reaching. Thousands sixth graders will drop out of school this year due to water insecurities in our target areas. We want to empower children to have access to an education. In just one day, 200 million hours are spent by women, collectively, carrying water. We feel those hours could be better spent and they do too.

Projects

Check out our interactive map of some the well projects that our partner has undertaken in Uganda and the surrounding countries. Drop in the Bucket, that we partner with has a wonderful track record and in 2013 under our suggestion started breaking ground on wells in the Soroti district of Uganda. Our sponsored wells will be in that region in the near future.

So far, since our 2012 founding, we have sponsored six well projects of our own and have four of them already in operation. Below are some pictures of some of the wells that we have drilled. Click on the images to see more.

Spread the Word!

Spreading the word is as easy telling a friend or two about this website. Maybe for you involvement for you is buying a shirt bearing our very stylish logo and wearing it around a couple times. Spreading the word can go as far as becoming an Us. team member presenting this information to a church, school, or other organization.

We always need more volunteers who are willing to step up and be a vocal advocate for water and sanitation in their community.
